I was born in 1986 in Novi Sad, where I still live and work today.
By education, I am a pedagogue, and by calling of the heart, a photographer. Photography has been with me for as long as I can remember, but working with children and families has shaped the way I look through the lens today.
I am a mother of three children who have taught me patience and that the essence often lies in what happens between words.
My pedagogical experience has given me an understanding of how important it is to observe, to listen, and to be truly present, without the need to immediately interpret and define everything. In my work, I am guided by the belief that patient observation leads to an authentic moment — and it is precisely that moment that creates a sincere photograph.
I do not believe in recipes or ready-made solutions. In the Slikerka studio, I create a space where a child is not rushed, a mother does not question herself, and a family can simply be who they are.
Everyone who stands in front of my lens has my full respect. The search for their authentic expression is more important to me than any learned pose or imitation.
I believe in presence. In a gaze that understands. In silence that speaks.
In my work, pedagogy and photography naturally intertwine — I photograph relationships, not just moments.
